- Summer survey interviewers will use paper questionnaires and/or electronic means to collect the data and may also be required to carry out other data inputting work.
- Besides having an excellent level of interpersonal and communication skills, successful candidates must be both logical, methodical, and extremely discreet in dealing with respondents, and:
- Carry out face-to-face interviews in-line with set methodologies;
- Enter collected data electronically into a computer any other portable media device;
- Take counts of travelling passengers; and
- Carry out other tasks as may be assigned by the Head of Unit.
- Relevant or previous similar work experiences will be considered as an asset.
Requirements - Eligibility requirements include:
- Ordinary Level passes in four (4) subjects at Grade A to C or 1 to 5. Preference will be given to candidates with passes in languages;
- Good written and verbal communication skills in Maltese and English;
- Sound computer literacy skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (preferably qualified with a European Computer Driving License - ECDL qualification);
- An aptitude for and skill in interviewing techniques and procedures;
- An ability to follow instructions as guided by team leaders;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, and an ability to interact with the public.

The National Statistics Office (NSO) is looking for a number of summer survey interviewers to primarily work with a team of interviewers stationed at the Malta International Airport (departures lounge), collecting data through face-to-face interviews for the Tourstat survey, the main source of information on tourism data in the country.
