- Attending to survey of cargoes onboard vessels, in port areas as well as in land warehouses.
- Following up with writing of a survey report and the collation of various shipping and insurance related documentation.
Requirements - Candidates must be fluent in both Maltese AND English
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report discrepancies
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
- Willingness to travel and work in various locations, including ports and ships
- Physical fitness and ability to climb ladders and move around in confined spaces
- Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry standards
- Preference will be given to candidates with a passion towards the maritime industryEducation and Experience
- A Level Standard of Education as a minimum
- Qualifications in Marine Transportation, Maritime Studies, or a related field are an asset
- Prior experience in a similar role, or in shipping/maritime, insurance or sea-going is an asset
