    Description

    Scope, Purpose and Objective

    To manage and control all front of house areas in accordance with hotel standards, observing and enforcing of all policies and procedures laid down by the company.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities


    • To ensure that guests are greeted, checked in and allocated rooms promptly and courteously


    • To ensure that check-in procedures are strictly adhered to and that the correct details are obtained from
    each guest


    • To be available at all times to deal with problems and complaints


    • Ensure that rooms have been serviced and maintained to the standards by the company


    • To ensure that reservations are taken correctly and courteously


    • Communicate with other hotel departments effectively


    • To ensure that all charges are correctly entered on the guest's bill


    • To ensure that credit control procedures are strictly adhered to, that no bills exceed the stipulated limit
    without prior approval, and to ensure that accounts are balanced daily


    • To act as Duty Manager when required and attend management meetings as required


    • To be familiar with all hotel safety measures


    • To ensure that all front of house staff is correctly and smartly dressed at all times


    • To ensure that all enquiries, phone calls, messages, bookings are dealt with courteously and efficiently


    • To monitor and check all front of house areas, maintaining a high profile with guests and staff


    • To ensure accurate and timeous submission of all reports and administrative work
