Connor Robinson

I am a versatile graphic design student with a strong foundation in various aspects of design, including branding, UI/UX, and editorial design. Previously, I have worked as a graphic design intern at the Malta Gaming Authority, where I aided them with the creation of promotional material and content writing for their website. My education has equipped me with a well-rounded skillset and a deep understanding of the design industry. I possess expertise in creating accurate visual identities, crafting intuitive user interfaces, and excelling in editorial design using the Adobe Suite. As a jack of all trades in the design space, I approach challenges with a holistic perspective and continually seek growth. I am a highly effective communicator who values collaboration, respects others' boundaries and beliefs, and builds strong working relationships based on trust and effective communication. Whether working independently or as part of a team, I navigate differences to achieve common goals efficiently. Constantly improving my communication skills and staying updated with industry trends, I strive to deliver high value to my team and organization.
 

During my internship at MGA from the summer of 2022 to January 2023, I had the privilege of working in the HR and Internal Affairs department. My responsibilities included designing artwork for both internal and external events, writing articles for the company's website, providing support for event organization, and attending meetings to take minutes. Working closely with a COO, I gained valuable insights into professional meetings and consistently met the company's high standards. Over my six months at MGA, I developed strong teamwork and communication skills, adapted to the corporate environment, and honed my design abilities. Additionally, my previous experience at Costa enhanced my customer service, sales, and adaptability skills, making me a valuable asset to any team and company.

As a student of a graphic design bachelor program, I have been trained to be a versatile designer with a wide range of skills. Throughout my studies, I have been exposed to various aspects of design including branding, UI/UX, editorial design, and more. This has allowed me to develop a well-rounded skillset and a deep understanding of the design industry. My training in branding has given me the ability to create visual identities that accurately represent a company or product. I have a strong understanding of color theory, typography, and design principles, which enables me to create compelling logos and brand guidelines that resonate with target audiences. In addition, my experience in UI/UX design has taught me how to create intuitive user interfaces that provide an enjoyable user experience. I am proficient in designing wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes using tools such as, Figma, and Adobe XD. I have also developed strong editorial design skills through my coursework, which has given me the ability to create engaging layouts for print and digital media. I am proficient in using the Adobe Suite and have experience designing books, magazines, and other printed materials. Overall, my education has taught me to be a jack of all trades in the design space, which has enabled me to approach design challenges with a holistic perspective. I am excited to bring my diverse skillset to any design project and to continue growing and evolving as a designer
